Does Your Website Have a Call to Action?
When building a website, most people tend to focus on the appearance and the architecture. These are both huge, of course…and that’s one of the many reasons we encourage clients to use WordPress.
Some how, in the midst of writing great content, and creating functionality of the website, you might be surprised at how many people forget the most critical element of the website: the call to action.
Driving traffic to your website is essential. But once your visitors get there, what do you want them to do?
Think about a sales letter. If you were soliciting donations for your favorite charity, you wouldn’t spend 3 paragraphs telling your story, explaining why your organization makes a difference, detailing the audience that benefits from your organization, then simply close the letter with a polite salutation. You would include a call to action – in this particular case – an ASK. You’d ask the recipient to consider making a donation and joining the cause.
